New constitution adopted at special meeting

Austwick Tennis Club has a new constitution. The constitution, which had been drawn up by the committee over the past few months, was adopted at a special emergency general meeting held on Sunday July 23, 2023.

It had been hoped to hold the meeting in advance of the annual Sheila Barraclough tournament but unfortunately the tournament had to be postponed due to bad weather. Nevertheless the meeting went ahead and unanimously approved the draft constitution. The changes in the new document bring us into line with current practice and also with the LTA recommendations on good practice. The next annual meeting of the club will be held in early November.

Meanwhile it is hoped to re-arrange the Sheila Barraclough Shield tournament for September 3.
