Local children make first use of new Multi-Use Games Area

Junior school children from Austwick, on their Easter break, had the opportunity to make first use of the new Multi-Use Games Area, on April 1, in a games session organised by the local sports coaches.

About 20 children took part in the session, involving various games with footballs and cones.

The surface is now ready for general use, though it will be a few weeks yet before the temporary lines marked out for various sports, including football, netball and tennis, can be replaced by the final versions. Some further fencing will be added to protect the club house from stray balls and the gate to the field will be re-instated.
