The most beautiful tennis courts in Britain? Well some visitors have been kind enough to say so and certainly our location in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales in the village of Austwick is idyllic.
Players of all kinds are welcome and our subscriptions, based on £30 per annum for seniors and £6 per annum for juniors, are amongst the lowest in the district. We have two recently re-surfaced hard courts, a separate practice wall, ball machine and the use of an excellent pavilion.
With three teams in separate Divisions of the Wharfedale Mixed Doubles League and well-attended club nights twice a week, we can provide regular competitive tennis for players at all levels.
American-style tournaments and championship days are held monthly in the summer and a large group play social tennis from 9.30 a.m. on Monday and Friday mornings throughout the year. Most years coaching and events for juniors are held early in the summer holidays.
Subscriptions include the cost of balls for all of these events.
From mid-September to mid-April we play indoors at Giggleswick School for one and a half hours on Wednesday and Friday nights. The additional cost is £5 - £6 per player per session.
